Experience The Essence That Leads To Peace

Experience The Essence Resulting In God’s Peace

The  body of Christ, in the monstrance, is one place where we give praise and glory to the God of All and where we petition the Beloved to tend to our deepest needs.  The Eucharist in the monstrance is the living presence of God and one way in which Christ manifests Himself for us.  Christ is the essence of all - of nature, ideas, relationships, energy.  Whenever, wherever our hearts are moved to prayer, to supplication, to praise, glory, or adoration, we abide in the essence of Christ.  Adoration is a state of being, and Christ’s body - whether manifested in the monstrance, in the love between mother and child, or in the miracle of photosynthesis that creates oxygen - is an invitation and a path to the sacred.

To experience the essence of Christ is an important step to better our relationship with the Divine.  Give yourself a ‘timeout’ and take a few moments to sit in the essence of God and experience true peace that only God can provide.  It can be habit forming.

Become More Like Him!

 Become More Like Him!

Cultivating a Eucharistic Life of adoration bears tremendous fruit in our own hearts and lives. We cannot spend time in the rays of His Eucharistic Presence without receiving His grace, His love, His mercy, His peace. As we gaze upon Him Face to face, we are transformed little by little into a closer reflection of His divine image. When we deepen our personal relationship with Jesus by spending time with Him in this way, we will become more like Him, just as old friends or a long-married couple grow more and more similar. We become more aware of the obstacles of sin in our life that stand between us and Our Lord. We develop a stronger desire to make habits of virtue and self-sacrifice in imitation of Him.

In celebration of Divine Mercy, let us pray to God for one another, for by carrying each other’s burden of charity in this way, we easily fulfill the law of Christ.
Before leaving the chapel this week please say a prayer asking God to hear the Prayers of Petition written in the Petition Book, and ask Him to give an abundance of grace to our fellow adorers who are praying for  help.

Celebrate God's Love

Celebrate God’s Love

The resurrection changed everything.  For here is a God who cares.  Here is a God who loves you enough to suffer for you.  Here is a God who actively seeks your welfare and intervenes on your behalf.  Here is a God who is near and personal.  Here is a God who loved you even before you loved Him.  Here is a God who gave His life for you, so you might know His love and live with Him in eternity.

Wow!  And you can’t find time to spend one hour a week in His presence?

The Church gives us Eucharistic Adoration as an important way to build our relationship with God.  If you are not spending “kneel time” in the chapel - I hope you are spending time formulating an answer to the question Jesus will ask when you see Him face to face in judgement … “Why didn’t you take advantage of the opportunity to be with Me?”

Sometimes I think our judgement will not be so much about what we did wrong; but more about the opportunities we missed.

A Personal Encounter

“The Eucharist is ‘the source and summit of the Christian life’” (CCC 1324)

Our worship of our Eucharistic Lord, Jesus - fully and completely present under the consecrated species of bread and wine - continues outside of the celebration of the Mass when the sacred Host is exposed for veneration in our chapel.  “This exposition gives us the opportunity for a deep personal encounter with Christ.  The holy and glorious God is constantly inviting us to come to him, to hold converse with him, to ask for such things as we need and to experience what a blessing there is in fellowship with him.”  (Archbishop Fulton Sheen - Originally published 2/28/22)

Time on earth is the only time we have to gain heaven.  Don’t waste it!  Take advantage of the unfathomable graces available through participation in Eucharistic Adoration.
