Become An Adoration Substitute

 Adoration Substitute Registration and Review

Adoration of the Holy Eucharist at IHM is always in need of people who will volunteer to substitute for a ‘committed adorer’ who has a temporary scheduling problem.

If you would like to become an Adoration Sub here are the simple steps to follow:

1. You must be registered on the AdorationPro sub list.
2. To register:  goto - www.adorationpro.org/ihmmi  > click on ‘Join the Sub List’  > fill out the simple form and click on “Sign Up”
   

That’s the minimum registration - you are now on the Sub List and will begin getting requests.

This next step is highly recommended and is very easy.  

When your registration was entered you were directed to your email for further instruction.  That email provides a link to your registration form where you can limit day of week & time of day you’re available to substitute.

If you don’t use this feature you will get a copy of every sub request entered into the software

To limit your availability click on the “Adjust My Availability” link shown in your email.

This displays a chart showing every hour of the day for the five days IHM offers Adoration.

If you do not want to receive email requests for certain hours you must remove the check mark.

Example:  Let’s say you’re not available at all on Wednesdays.  Click on all 24 hours for Wednesday to remove the check mark from each.  When done click on “Save Changes”.  You will now not see any email requests for a sub on a Wednesday. 

Example:  You want to volunteer but limit your availability to only 7pm to 11pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.  You must remove the check mark from every hour your not available.  When done your chart will have a check mark showing for only the 7pm, 8pm, 9pm and 10pm hours on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. (a total of 12 check marks)  NOW - SAVE THE CHANGES.  That’s it.

In the future every sub request you get will have a link that allows you to click and return to your availability chart.  So you can make changes to your availability easily and as often as needed.

This is not only important to reduce the number of emails sent asking for help where there is no chance a request can be accepted; it also helps us control cost.  There is a limited number of ‘free’ emails each month generated through the software.  When we go over that number a fee is added to our account.  So far we have not had to pay more.
