Become An Adoration Substitute

Immaculate Heart of Mary is looking for people willing to serve as substitute Adorers when a weekly Adorer has a scheduling conflict.  This would not be a weekly commitment, but simply an opportunity to serve on an as needed basis.  

If you would like to join this group so that you can be notified when a substitute is needed and serve if you are available, we NEED you.  To join this group of volunteers you need to register through the AdorationPro software.

It’s easy to do; just go to www.adorationpro.org/ihmmi  and click on “Become a Sub”.  Fill-in your information on the form and click on “Signup”.  That’s step one - you are now on the available substitute list and if you are willing to substitute any hour of the day and any day of the week the chapel is open there is nothing more for you to do.  However, most people are willing to be a substitute but want to specify what hours they are available.  So, here is step two - you will receive an eMail that confirms you have volunteered to be a substitute for Eucharistic Adoration.  If you want to specify hours you need to click on the link that says “Adjust My Availability”.

This link will take you to a chart that shows every hour that our Adoration Chapel is open.  You will notice there is a check mark before each hour.  You need to uncheck the hours you are NOT available to be a substitute.  To uncheck it, you simply click on the box and the check mark goes away.  Repeat that for each hour you don’t want to be available to substitute.  IMPORTANT: when you have unchecked the hours and the only check marks you see are those in front of the hours you are willing to be a substitute you have to click SAVE CHANGES

At this point you are fully registered and the software is tracking your available hours.  When a scheduled Adorer needs a substitute and the hour that person normally adores is an hour you specified as ‘available’ you will receive an eMail alerting you with the name of the Adorer and the hour and day of week that person needs coverage.  You have the option to accept the request or do nothing.  To let the requester know you will cover the request you simply click on “View Sub Request” and an eMail will be generated back to the requestor letting them know you will substitute for them and cover the hour.  If another Adorer in that available sub group then clicks to cover the hour they will be told the request has been filled.
