These Gifts Are Free

God Won’t Force His Gifts Upon You …

Fostering a Eucharistic life of Adoration bears tremendous fruit in our heart and life.  One cannot spend time in the rays of His Eucharistic Presence without receiving His grace, His love, His mercy, as well as His peace.  Available to all who desire relationship with God; but God will not force it upon you.  As one gazes upon Our Lord face to face we are transformed little by little into a closer reflection of His divine image.  We also become more aware of the obstacles of sin in our lives that stand between us and Our Lord.  Adoration helps develop a stronger desire to pray more often and practice small acts of self-sacrifice leading to an improved relationship with God.

Join the ever growing number of scheduled Adorers by committing to an hour of face-time with God each week, and put yourself into a position to receive the gifts God holds for you.

Jesus Requests Companionship

 Jesus Seeks Companionship

Venerable Fulton J. Sheen enthusiastically promoted the making of Holy Hours during his lifetime.
He stated, “During a Holy Hour we grow more and more into His (Christ’s) likeness.”  He also remarked, “The only time our Lord asked the Apostles for anything was the night He went into agony.  Not for activity did He plead, but for an Hour of companionship.”

Can’t you find time to be a companion to our Lord in our Adoration Chapel?

Through Silence We Grow

 Why Practice Silence

Pope Benedict XVI insisted on the fact ‘we live in a society in which it seems that every space, every moment, must be filled with projects, activities and noise; there is often no time to just listen.’  When we can’t quiet ourselves and simply ‘listen’ we often miss the voice of God and the message He wishes to convey to us personally.  Many church leaders have commented that “Silence is God’s first language; everything else is a poor translation,  In order to hear that language, we must learn to be still and rest in God.”

The one who practices silence is the one who can create true balance in their life.  In the silence of our hearts, God speaks to us, and pours His grace in the form of wisdom, temperance, fortitude, and hope.  As a result, we can only react in an outpouring of this love through charity.  He is the potter, we are the clay, and as He molds us into containers that can hold the weight of His love, He fills us up in contemplative silence until it overflows into our active works of mercy.

Experience first hand God’s wonderful gift of peace He bestows on all who simply sit silently in His presence.  He’s waiting for you in the Adoration Chapel.

Trust Jesus

If You Can’t Trust Jesus, Who Can You …

Jesus repeatedly tells us to ‘trust’.  St Paul in his letter to the Corinthians says “You can trust God not to let you be tried beyond your strength, and with any trial He will give you a way out and the strength to bear it.” (1 Cor 10:13)

Day and night Jesus dwells in the Blessed Sacrament because of His infinite love for us!  “Behold I will be with you always even to the end of the world”, because “I have loved you with an everlasting love, and constant is my affection for you.”  (Mt 6:16; Her 31:3)

Jesus suggests one way to love Him in return is to spend one quiet hour with Him each week in the Blessed Sacrament.  “Could you not watch one hour with Me?” (Mt 26:40)

Don’t be apprehensive about committing an hour a week; place your ‘trust’ in Jesus knowing He will not test you beyond your strength.  The rewards are ‘priceless’.

The Kingdom of God Is …

“God loves us as His children and His heirs.  His legacy to us is meant to be experienced and lived in the here and now, not just in eternity.  Our inheritance is more than eternal life.  It is eternal life in our temporal lives.  It is the eternal kingdom of the Father in the here and now.  God promises this to us.  And His promise, when He gives it, is not a human promise.  It is a fact.  You can take it to your heart, to your mind, to your soul, with serene certainty.  We can know that because He loves us perfectly and completely”.

(The World According To God - F. X. Cronin)

God in His Real Presence has said He has more ‘grace’ in His hands than He can shower on us at any one time.  Why not ask Him for an extra measure?
