Did You See Which Way God Went?
That question would indicate we don’t know where He is. Unfortunately for many that statement is true.
Too often, either at Mass or in the chapel, we spend time in the presence of God but not present to God.
As you thrash around looking for love in all the wrong places, Jesus has been patiently waiting for you in the Eucharist. It is in His presence that we cultivate a deeper intimacy in our relationship with Christ and to imitate the one we spend time with in Adoration throughout the rest of our day. Spending time with Jesus is the source of the grace we need that will transform our lives, whether we are aware of them in this life or in heaven.
St. Teresa of Avila says, “Contemplative prayer … is nothing else than a close sharing between friends; it means taking time frequently to be alone with him who we know loves us.”
(CCC 2709)
Advent will be starting soon; why not make a strong commitment to be present to God in Church or a Chapel.
