Consule My Sacred Heart

Jesus Is Asking …

“You console My Eucharistic Heart by giving Me signs of your friendship; of all these, the one that most consoles Me is your presence before My Eucharistic Face.  There are many ways of expressing friendship and of responding to the love of one’s friend, but the one that is most satisfying to the heart is the simple act of companionship, of presence, of being together.  Experience has taught you this in human relationships, but you have yet to apply it to your relationship with Me as generously as I desire.  Come to Me, remain with Me.  Seek Me out in the Sacrament of My love and, by remaining with Me, adore Me with tenderness and give Me your heart’s friendship and affection.”  (Jesus’s words from In Sinu Jesu  p153)

There is a school of thought that says at our final judgement we will be judged more on the opportunities missed, than on the wrongs we did.  If Jesus should ask - How would you answer this question?  Why didn’t you take advantage of all the opportunities I gave you to console Me by spending time in My presence?

God Wants Presence

“You console my Eucharistic Heart by giving me signs of your friendship; of all these, the one that most consoles me is your presence before my Eucharistic Face.  There are many ways of expressing friendship and of responding to the love of one’s friend, but the one that is most satisfying to the heart is the simple act of companionship, of presence, of being together. (In Sinu Jesu: When Hearts Speak to Heart  pg 153)

This is a good time to offer Jesus the gift of your presence, and one of the better ways to do that is Eucharistic Adoration in our chapel, where you can go and pray before the face of our true God almost anytime you want.  You don’t have to be a ‘committed’ adorer to pray in the chapel, you are welcome anytime your schedule permits.

The more time we spend in his presence the easier it is for us to find him not only in the chapel, but everywhere and in everything we do.

“Loving Father, my heart reveals to me that everything that I long for finds its fulfillment in the Eucharist.  Attune my way of thinking to the Eucharist so that I will be responsive to the presence of your Son in whatever comes my way.” (Jesus, Present Before Me - Fr Peter Cameron, O.P.)

Listen To The Voice of God

 Listen And You Will Hear

God always communicates with us, but to hear and understand the voice of God, you have to quiet your world and truly listen — “Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.” (1 Samuel 3:9)

If truly listening you would hear Jesus’ invitation to spend an hour with Him in Adoration.
He invites everyone to get to know Him better by spending time in His presence and to become fully aware that the benefit of time spent with Him in this manner is priceless.

Over the twenty-four years IHM has had Eucharistic Adoration, graces received by our parish and to those parishioners spending time regularly before the face of God have been innumerable.
Every parishioner should want to participate because if we could see what’s happening at the Divine Level there would be no room in the chapel for additional people (24-7).

God gives us 168 hours every week — one of those hours should be spent at Mass - and I challenge you to show me anyone who could not free up one additional hour that could be spent in Eucharistic Adoration.

Listed below the current Adoration hours we need help filling by someone who would commit to being there every week.  This just may be the opportunity that God wants to tell you about if you would stop long enough to listen.  Don’t be afraid of getting stuck with a commitment, for we have a very good substitute program of volunteers ready to step in when a committed Adorer cannot fulfill their weekly hour.

Pray To Increase Number Of Committed Adorers

 Pray For Adoration Help

“I am with you always” (Mt 28:20).  With these words Jesus assures His disciples, and all of us, that He will walk with us throughout our life’s journey.  Whether in triumph or tragedy, He is there.  Not only are we bathed in God’s loving presence, but by our baptism we join the rest of the faithful to become the Body of Christ.  Together we pool our special gifts and unique talents to be present to one another and to fulfill the great commission.

Please pray during the month of September for an increase in the number of permanent Adorers visiting our chapel.  If you know of anyone interested please show them the scheduling page within www.adorationpro.org/ihmmi where they can see the entire schedule and choose an hour convenient for them.
