Honoring The Eucharist
Just watch a daily news broadcast, or read the news pushed to an electronic device, and it’s easy to recognize the ingratitude of the majority of the human race towards the Eucharistic Lord.  Every way we look we find real examples of how Christianity is being persecuted and how that persecution continues to grow.

As Eucharistic Adorers we make acts of reparation to repair the offenses made against the infinitely great Divine Majesty for those who ignore Him, those who insult Him, those who deny His Real Presence on earth and mock Him.

One of our Catholic missions is to console the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Merciful Father.  We beg forgiveness for those guilty and offer reparation as a holy ransom, imploring Gods’ Divine Mercy.

If you’re not part of the consolation movement of Our Lord Jesus and His Merciful Father for the sins committed by the ignorance of the human race, it’s not too late to join.  When God made each of us He set a ‘timer’ governing our earthly existence.  When that hour glass runs dry you have no more time, and can no longer in any way help yourself.  So don’t wait - start today.  Become a committed Adorer.

God Given Opportunity

Summer soon will be over and if you haven’t already started it’s time to work on the scheduling puzzle of personal/family/work/school/sports time in an effort to make everybody happy and keep harmony in the family.  Here’s a tip that might make that job easier … start by scheduling time with God.  Schedule one hour every week of Eucharistic Adoration and you will see how God helps fit the pieces together and rewards you in so many other ways.  God loves it when you make a commitment to spend time in his presence, and if you give him an hour every week he will help you with the other 167 hours. 

Our current focus in the Adoration Ministry is to find volunteers to fill the ‘open’ hours, and to find prayer partners for adorers who have made a commitment but due to ‘life changes’ need the help of a partner once or twice a month.  As a parish we’re committed to having someone in the chapel 18 hours a day, 5 days a week.  Presently we are falling short of that commitment.  

It’s important to know that the chapel schedule in never full.  There’s always room so if an ‘open’ hour doesn’t fit into your schedule commit to any hour that’s good for you.  To take advantage of the opportunity God is giving you simply follow the link below and add your name to any hour:

Pray To Increase Number Of Committed Adorers

 Pray For Adoration Help

“I am with you always” (Mt 28:20).  With these words Jesus assures His disciples, and all of us, that He will walk with us throughout our life’s journey.  Whether in triumph or tragedy, He is there.  Not only are we bathed in God’s loving presence, but by our baptism we join the rest of the faithful to become the Body of Christ.  Together we pool our special gifts and unique talents to be present to one another and to fulfill the great commission.

Please pray during the month of September for an increase in the number of permanent Adorers visiting our chapel.  If you know of anyone interested please show them the scheduling page within www.adorationpro.org/ihmmi where they can see the entire schedule and choose an hour convenient for them.

Fatima Anniversary

 First Apparition of Our Lady of Fatima

Beginning May 13, 1917, Our Lady appeared six times to the 3 shepherd children at Fatima.  Each time she appeared she stressed the importance of saying the Rosary on a daily basis.  When we say the Rosary, Mary herself helps us to deepen our relationship with her Divine Son Jesus.  The Rosary is a powerful way we can turn to Mary with our needs and petitions.  Sister Lucia, one of the 3 children, said “there is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary.”

One of the best places to pray the Rosary is in our Adoration Chapel where we find the Real Presence of Our Lord and His Mother.  It is also where you can listen and hear what God has to say to you by simply sitting in His Silence.

 

Our Lord showers us with his blessings when we show him our love by making a weekly commitment to spend an hour in Adoration.  Every hour can accommodate additional Adorers; so make a commitment by going to www.adorationpro.org/ihmmi and clicking on the box that says:  ‘Weekly Commitment’.

Adoration Subs During Winter Months

             As we experience winter weather some of our older Adorers may have difficulty traveling to fulfill their Adoration commitment and will be asking for a substitute.  Some of these requests could be generated with short notice. 

            We currently have 74 people registered as a substitute for Adoration.  With that large number we shouldn’t have a problem filling a request for help - but we do - on occasion we have requests that are not filled.  It’s the old 80/20 rule.

            If you told God you wanted to be part of His team by being a sub, I encourage you not to ignore your Adoration eMail.  Open it - read it - check your calendar, and if you are able - make a commitment.  That action WILL NOT go unrewarded.

Pray the Chaplet for the needs of the Church

During the month of October we ask regular scheduled Adorers and visitors to continue praying for the welfare of our Church by reciting the "Chaplet of Adoration and Reparation" - this prayer can be found on printed forms in the chapel.
