The Eucharist Holds Many Gifts

Increase Your Eucharistic Friendship
Faith Grows .. And We Never Have Enough
Jesus tells us in “In Sinu Jesu” that faith in the mystery of the Most Holy Eucharist grows in proportion to the time one gives him in adoration. Its not enough that we go to Holy Mass often if we do not approach him and remain with him in the sacrament of his love. Nothing can replace the intimate experience that He offers to us if we seek his Eucharistic friendship - and this is the experience he offers to us if we seek his Eucharistic Face and offer a sacrifice of our time to his Eucharistic Heart.Begin to grow your faith in the mystery of the Most Holy Eucharist by finding a church that has Eucharistic Adoration and begin spending some time in His Real Presence.

Does Your Prayer Life Need Improvement?
Lest You Forget
“In every age the followers of Jesus come to Him and ask, 'Lord, teach us to pray.’”
What we ask for, we receive. Jesus gives us the profound gift of prayer. We knock and the door is opened to us, and we are able to enter into the presence of the living God. We seek and we find the face of the Father, Who gives us our name and calls us to friendship.
Prayer is the promise and a privilege that Jesus makes possible for the Children of God. Through Him we can dare to call God ‘Our Father’ and speak with Him in loving dialogue.”
(Most Reverend Jose H. Gomez Archbishop of Los Angeles Apr 2016)
Let Him know how much you appreciate what He has done for you by stopping by the Adoration Chapel and telling Him face to face.

Show Jesus Your Appriciation
No Greater Love …
Jesus loves us beyond measure. One way He asks us to return love and appreciation of all He does for us is to spend one quiet hour with Him each week in Eucharistic Adoration. “Where your treasure is, there is your heart …”, “Could you not watch one hour with Me?” (Mt 6:21; 26:40)Express your love by committing to an hour of adoration by visiting your closest Adoration Chapel. The rewards are heavenly.

The Simplest Lenten Project
Here is a very simple suggestion for your consideration if you are still looking for something different to do during Lent.
Write down, on several pieces of paper, the phrase “Jesus I wish I would spend more time with you” ... that’s it. Writing a simple phrase on a few pieces of paper.
Now ... put those strips where you will see 1, 2, or more during the day. Maybe on the dresser where it will be one of the first things you see in the morning, and perhaps the last thing you see at night. How about the bathroom mirror , the kitchen table, the door leading into the garage, or inside your briefcase/purse? You’ve got the idea. Now every time you see one of those strips you say that phrase with thought and conviction, then go on about your day.
This is not a practice where you see the piece of paper, say the prayer phrase, and run off to Church for an hour. Oh no ... you say the prayer phrase with conviction and then go about your business. God will hear you.
And when God sees you are saying this phrase with conviction, He won’t be able to leave it alone. He loves us so much that He will be moved to action. Don’t be afraid; He won’t be asking you to move the mountain. His move to action might be as simple as an internal desire to say a couple extra prayers each day for a special cause, or maybe just a desire to turn the tv off 15 minutes early, so you can close your eyes and sit quietly knowing He is with you. You don’t have to say anything (most of the time its better if you don’t), just be quiet and know you are with a friend. Just enjoy His company.
How much easier could a Lenten project be? If I were you I wouldn’t tell anyone what I was doing - because they might get the idea that what you are doing is next to “nothing”. And that’s not far from the truth ... you are not doing much but repeating a prayer phrase a few times a day with conviction. God is doing the work.
No sounds of thunder; no lighting strikes; no deep desire to spend hours in church on your knees. No, ... the action God moves you too, may be in such small increments that you don’t realize it’s happening. But when you add up those incremental changes over the time left this Lent, the outcome will be so powerful that it will change you for eternity.
“Jesus, I wish I would spend more time with you.”

I'm Busy Jesus - Not Now!
Jesus - Not Now!
Maybe He doesn’t …
Maybe He knows it’s not the right time to try to give you an answer because you’re not receptive? Maybe He simply, as the saying goes, gives you more rope. Regardless of how much rope you have God knows you are holding onto the other end. As long as you don’t let go He knows your mind and heart can be changed. Through His Love and by His Grace that change will work from the inside-out, and you will feel His presence. You can start moving in that direction by simply stopping by the Adoration Chapel and ask Him for His help.

Christ’s Presence In The Eucharist
Saint Pope John II in his encyclical letter, Ecclesia de Eucharist, draws our attention to the fact that, “in the Eucharist we have Jesus, we have his redemptive sacrifice, we have his resurrection, we have the gift of the Holy Spirit, we have adoration, obedience and love of the Father.” All of this Jesus gives us if we only meet him in the Adoration Chapel, and sit quietly in his Presence surrendering to his action within our heart and soul.

God Returns The Value Of Your Time A Hundred Fold
If You Want To … You Can Find 60 Minutes
Jesus, so longs for us to visit Him in Eucharistic Adoration that He suffered and died to give us the chance to spend eternity with Him. What a small thing it is, in the realm of salvation, to stop by the chapel occasionally to say Thank You? Oh! I know the argument - ‘Jesus is present everywhere - I can say Thank You anytime, anywhere.’ But in the chapel He is present in a very special way; a way you don’t find outside of Mass or Adoration. He knows how important our time is to us. When we give Him something as important as our ‘time’, He rewards us a hundred fold.
“The best, the surest and the most effective way of establishing peace on the face of the earth is through the great power of Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.” St John Paul II

Window to Heaven - 4
Window to Heaven - 4
“The doctrine of the Real Presence means that Jesus is no less present in the Eucharist today than He was at the home of Martha and Mary. “Oh”, someone might say, “we have the Eucharist on earth: the historical Jesus lived back then; the risen Jesus is in heaven.” But don’t you see? In Jesus, earth and heaven became fully one, fully wed: the risen Jesus is earth taken up into heaven.
In Him, the wedding feast has begun. And Jesus is God, the Lord of heaven, made visible and tangible for us: seeing Him, we see the Father (Jn 14:9). Our fleshly eyes see bread, for being earth all they see is earth. But cloaked beneath that form of bread and wine is Jesus Christ, whose risen Body is the heart of heaven. About Him dance all the company of angels and saints in mirthful adoration. And some children of earth kneel and sit at the gate of heaven, looking up longingly through the circle of light that is heaven’s heart, and while they are there, all of earth gives way like husks that yield a flower: in His presence all is peace, all is light.
The Eucharist is a real, ongoing presence, not just a moment of communion, but an ongoing being with, and abiding, the eternal reality of the Incarnation, present “in every tabernacle of the world until the end of time,” as the prayer puts it. In our day, Eucharistic Adoration has become an ever more popular way to be in the presence of Jesus, to adore Him: a way to be in heaven while on earth.”
