Increase Your Eucharistic Friendship

Faith Grows .. And We Never Have Enough

Jesus tells us in “In Sinu Jesu” that faith in the mystery of the Most Holy Eucharist grows in proportion to the time one gives him in adoration. Its not enough that we go to Holy Mass often if we do not approach him and remain with him in the sacrament of his love. Nothing can replace the intimate experience that He offers to us if we seek his Eucharistic friendship - and this is the experience he offers to us if we seek his Eucharistic Face and offer a sacrifice of our time to his Eucharistic Heart.

Begin to grow your faith in the mystery of the Most Holy Eucharist by finding a church that has Eucharistic Adoration and begin spending some time in His Real Presence.

In His Presence … Don’t Underestimate The Benefit

In His Presence … Don’t Underestimate The Benefit

"There is nothing that I will not do for those who approach Me in the Sacrament of My Love.  Look at Me!  Here I am vulnerable, exposed, hidden, and yet entirely delivered over to you.  The Eucharist is the invention of My love, and nothing surpasses it in all My works.   The Eucharist is more than creation itself; it is the crown of My work of redemption in this world, and the foretaste of the glory that I have prepared for those who love Me in the next.  If souls understood what treasures of love are freely given to those who approach Me in the Sacrament of My Love, My churches would be filled day and night, and unable to contain the multitude drawn to them.”  p.226   (In Sinu Jesu  A Benedictine Monk - Angelico Press)

“Faith in this mystery of the Most Holy Eucharist
grows in proportion to the time one gives Me in Adoration. … Nothing can replace the intimate experience of My Eucharistic friendship - and this is the experience that I offer to you and to all who seek My Eucharistic Face, all who offer a sacrifice of time to My Eucharistic Heart.”  p.87   (In Sinu Jesu  A Benedictine Monk - Angelico Press)

God Wants Presence

“You console my Eucharistic Heart by giving me signs of your friendship; of all these, the one that most consoles me is your presence before my Eucharistic Face.  There are many ways of expressing friendship and of responding to the love of one’s friend, but the one that is most satisfying to the heart is the simple act of companionship, of presence, of being together. (In Sinu Jesu: When Hearts Speak to Heart  pg 153)

This is a good time to offer Jesus the gift of your presence, and one of the better ways to do that is Eucharistic Adoration in our chapel, where you can go and pray before the face of our true God almost anytime you want.  You don’t have to be a ‘committed’ adorer to pray in the chapel, you are welcome anytime your schedule permits.

The more time we spend in his presence the easier it is for us to find him not only in the chapel, but everywhere and in everything we do.

“Loving Father, my heart reveals to me that everything that I long for finds its fulfillment in the Eucharist.  Attune my way of thinking to the Eucharist so that I will be responsive to the presence of your Son in whatever comes my way.” (Jesus, Present Before Me - Fr Peter Cameron, O.P.)

How Can You Say NO To Jesus?

How Can You Say NO To Jesus?

Is Jesus important enough to you to set aside one special hour each week to be with Him?  Just one hour once a week is all He is asking.  It’s a simple matter of putting first things first.  “In everything you do, put God first, and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success” (Prov 3:6)

Because we can’t see Jesus, we often take His love and Presence in the Blessed Sacrament for granted.  Many people are hesitant in making a commitment for a specific hour because they let everything else in their lives come before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.  An hour with Jesus could be the most important thing you do this week.

This concept of importance is reenforced in the book In Sinu Jesu where Jesus is quoted telling a Benedictine Monk “Nothing in your life is more important than the time you spend in adoration before My Eucharistic Face.  Your energy and your capacity to do other things efficiently and in due order will grow in proportion to the time you consecrate to Me alone.”

Don’t wait until you’re out of ‘time’; we will all be there at some point.  Prioritize now and heed the words of Jesus when He said “Could you not keep watch for one hour?” (Mk 14:37)

Let Advent be your starting point - commit to one hour of Adoration in the chapel each week.  If you’re already a committed adorer say a prayer to the Holy Spirit the next time you’re in the chapel that more people will take to heart Jesus’ request to spend an hour with Him.  Better yet - don’t wait until you are in the chapel .. say that prayer now!

Recognition Before The Face of Jesus

Recognition Before the Face of Jesus

Jesus constantly reminds us that He is always here for our support.
He asks in turn that we be here for Him by seeking His Eucharistic Face in Adoration.  He wants us to know that His Eucharistic Heart is open to receive, to comfort, to strengthen, and to purify us in the Blood and Water that ever flows from His pierced side.

Our Lord sees all adorers before His Face and rejoices in their presence.  He blesses them with all the tenderness of His Eucharistic Heart.  Take advantage of these wonderful graces by spending an hour a week before Our Lord in Adoration.

"Adoration helps to create and deepen within our hearts that silence within which the voice of God is heard."     Anthony DeMello

Sacrifice of 'Time'

Jesus tell us in "In Sinu Jesu" that faith in the mystery of the Most Holy Eucharist grows in proportion to the time one gives him in adoration.  It's not enough that we go to Holy Mass often if we do not approach him and remain with him in the sacrament of his love.  Nothing can replace the intimate experience of his Eucharistic friendship - and this is the experience that he offers to us if we seek his Eucharistic Face and offer a sacrifice of time to his Eucharistic Heart.

Won't you consider a sacrifice of time of an hour a week before his Eucharistic Face?  Several time slots are available for personal Adoration of Our Lord.  You can find those opportunities by going to our Adoration website and  clicking "Weekly Commitment".
