Believe Without Seeing

Many people take Jesus’ love and Presence in the Blessed Sacrament for granted because they can’t see Him in His human form. When asked to make a commitment for a specific hour in the chapel they hesitate and let everything else come before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.  What they don’t realize is that faith will make this commitment easy! “Faith is confident assurance concerning what we hope for, and conviction about things we do not see.” (Hb 11:11)

Faith helps us realize this with conviction: The most important thing that you will do this week is spend an hour with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Your willingness to participate in Eucharistic Adoration is a precious expression of your faith that Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is welcomed, loved, and adored by you.

Don’t be afraid to commit to one hour each week for fear that there may be times that you can’t make it.  AdorationPro has a built in substitute system to take care of emergencies.  Just think of the words from Scripture: “You have nothing whatsoever to fear from Him.  Get up.  He is calling you!” (Mk 10:50)

When you get to heaven, Jesus will spend all of eternity thanking you and loving you for the fidelity in spending one hour with Him in the Blessed Sacrament each week.  This is why He says: “Blessed are they who do not see and yet believe.” (Jn 20:29)

We ask Our Lady of Guadalupe to hear the cries of the suffering and offer to her maternal compassion and protection all who seek her heavenly intercession.

By Faith Be In His Presence

The Magic of Faith

Faith is one of the great gifts God has given us.  We can visit the Adoration Chapel and through Faith know we are truly in His Presence and because Jesus is not limited by space and time; sit at the table during the Last Supper, or kneel at the manger along with the Wise Men, or stand next to the weeping Blessed Mother on Calvary.  How is this possible?  Because God has no limits, and for God everything is present.  Believe in his presence and contemplate being with him at any event during his human life.

Pray The Right Way!

 Are You Praying The Right Way?

Father Jose' Calveras, was a Jesuit priest who had a reputation of teaching people how to pray.  Fr. Jose' is quoted as saying:

"The key to the art of prayer is the prayer of petition.  Many people never learn how to pray because they have never learned to make effective use of petitionary prayer.  The hand outstretched to beg obtains what the hand pressed against ones' head to think does not."

If you have not succeeded in prayer it is not because prayer does not work.  It is because you have not learned to pray well.

The first law of prayer is:  FAITH

Have you noticed the habit Jesus had of saying to anyone who came to him for a favor: Do you believe I can do this?  In other words, he always insisted on faith in his power to heal and cure and work miracles.

His teaching in the Bible can be summed up by saying if you believe, all things are possible.  If you do not believe, I can do nothing for you.

Now, here is an important point - you yourself need not have the faith - it is enough that someone else has it for you.

    -  The daughter of Jairus had no faith

    -  As far as we know the servant of the centurion mentioned in Matt 8:15 had no faith

    -  Nor the paralytic of Matt 9:2-8

It was enough that the petitioner, not necessarily the beneficiary, have faith.  But faith there had to be - there was no substitute for it.

In teaching his Apostles about faith Jesus said "Have faith in God.  I tell you this: if anyone says to this mountain ..."  You know the story.  But there is an important point at the end where Jesus goes on to say "I tell you then, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours."  (Matt 11:20)

This law of Faith was well understood by the Apostles, who handed it on to the early Christians, and it has continued cascading down thru history, in the Bible and thru tradition, to the present day.

Jesus continues to work miracles in response to faith in our day.  Believe.  And expect only the best.  Chapel time builds Faith.

 

Sacrifice of 'Time'

Jesus tell us in "In Sinu Jesu" that faith in the mystery of the Most Holy Eucharist grows in proportion to the time one gives him in adoration.  It's not enough that we go to Holy Mass often if we do not approach him and remain with him in the sacrament of his love.  Nothing can replace the intimate experience of his Eucharistic friendship - and this is the experience that he offers to us if we seek his Eucharistic Face and offer a sacrifice of time to his Eucharistic Heart.
