One Sacred Heart and One Immaculate Heart

The month of June we celebrate two feasts of importance in our relationship with Our Lord Jesus and His Blessed Mother.   We honor the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, and we recognize the feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

“The main difference between the devotions to the hearts of Jesus and Mary is that the one concerned with Jesus emphasizes his divine heart as being full of love for mankind, but with this love for the most part being ignored or rejected, while the devotion to Mary’s heart is essentially concerned with the love that her heart has for Jesus, for God.  It is not an end in itself, the love of her heart is meant to be a model for the way we should love God.  The fact that her heart is immaculate, that is sinless, means that she is the only fully human person who is able to really love God in the way that he should be loved.

Honoring Mary’s Immaculate Heart is really just another way of honoring Mary as the person who was chosen to be the Mother of God, recognizing her extraordinary holiness and the immense love she bestowed on Jesus as his mother, the person who was called to share in and co-operate in his redemptive suffering.” (Catholic News Agency Jun ’24)

We know that the Blessed Mother is always in the presence of her Divine Son; and that her Divine Son is really and truly present in our Tabernacles and Monstrances. So if you want quality time with Our Blessed Mother visit her son.

Wishing Our Blessed Mother A Happy Mother’s Day

There is no one in heaven, besides Jesus, who wishes us to lead our lives on earth in a way that will allow us to reach the heavenly reward and spend eternity in her presence.  Know that the Mother of God is pulling for you and wants to help if only you would place yourself in her hands as her child.  If you haven’t already done so, do it now!

Our Blessed Mother is always in the heavenly presence of her Divine Son.  Because of this you can find Our Lady in our Adoration Chapel with Jesus.  Stop by and wish her a happy Mother’s Day!

Join Your Suffering To The Blessed Mother's

Join Your Suffering With That Of The Blessed Mother’s

Eucharistic Adoration provides the opportunity to offer to our Lord all our sufferings and tribulations of the week for the reparation due all the sacrileges directed to the Holy Eucharist especially by the members of the Mystical Body so loved, so honored, and enriched with graces and gifts of the Lord.  We are able to join our reparation with that of the Blessed Mother’s at the foot of the cross for its full power and doing so we know the Lord shall accept it.

We also remember that our time with Jesus is a commemoration of His time of passion, death and resurrection that as it turned out is our redemption when we were bought and brought back from the clutches of Satan.  This time is truly a time of love that triumphs over darkness, and is the fulfillment of Jesus’ mission to love us to the end: “When Jesus knew that His hour had come to depart from this world to the Father; having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end” (Jn 13:1)

Return Jesus’ love by participating in Eucharistic Adoration.  Jesus waits!

Mary Calls Us To Action

How Do You Reply To Mary’s Request?

“On May 13, 1917, Our Lady of Fatima appeared to three young shephard children at Fatima, Portugal.  It would be the first of her six visits to that area.  These apparitions were preceded by visits in 1916 from the Angel of Peace, who prepared the children for the Blessed Mother’s visits and instructions.  The message of Fatima calls us to turn away from sin, pray the Rosary daily for peace in the world, and offer penance for sinners.”  (30 Marian Apparitions p.42)

This message is as appropriate today as it was in 1917.  Are you doing all you can to fulfill Mary’s request?  If not, there is no better time to start than now.

Adoration In Perfect Harmony

 Adoration In Perfect Harmony

Adoration is the act of religion in which God is justly recognized and worshipped as the only One worthy of supreme honor because God alone is supremely perfect, has supreme authority over the entire human race, and as our Creator, Redeemer and the One Who makes us holy, is the One on Whom we supremely depend.  Jesus told us in John 15, “Without Me you can do nothing.”

Mary was the first human adorer of the Incarnate Word, Jesus Christ, Who dwelt in her for nine months.  Mary adored Jesus with the perfect love of a virgin mother, the perfect adoration of a perfect charity. Our Lady’s adoration of Jesus was perfect because Her adoration of Jesus was always in perfect harmony with His will, His life and His thoughts.

We, like the Blessed Mother, should have such a longing to adore Jesus that we could not live without some daily adoration of Him.  If we respond to the divine invitation to Eucharistic Adoration, then both Mary and Jesus, Mother and Son, will watch over us in all our daily actions, trials and struggles. (Our Lady The Model and Teacher of Eucharistic Adoration - Louis Guardiola, CPM)

Become a “Committed Adorer” by volunteering to cover the same hour of Adoration each week and get to know Mother and Son better.

The Queenship of Mary

 The Queenship of Mary

August 22nd is the Memorial of the Queenship of the Blessed Mother.

"Mary was assumed into heaven and at the throne of the Holy Trinity the three Divine Persons received and welcomed her in a mystical embrace of eternal love, after she had bowed before Them in deep humility and reverence.  She was attired in a marvelous sparkling robe that trailed behind her and scintillated with multicolored iridescence.

Then the Eternal Father announced to all the angels and saints:

"Our Daughter Mary has been chosen by Our Will from among all creatures as the first in Our favor, and she has never fallen from the position of a true Daughter.  Therefore she has a claim to Our Kingdom, of which she is to be acknowledged and crowned the lawful Sovereign and Queen."

The Life of Mary As Seen By The Mystics  p253

Our Lady was the first holy tabernacle of the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, really, truly, wholly and entirely present in her by His incarnation.  Hope you are able to spend time this week in Eucharistic Adoration following the example of our Heavenly Mother.

Heartfelt Adoration

 Heartfelt Adoration

Adoration must be “in spirit”, which in a sense makes it a loving act of will that as a human being we can do anywhere and at anytime.  You don’t have to be in church, or in the chapel, to adore God in your heart.  The secret to being successful to spontaneously adore in your heart is to condition the heart through ‘chapel time’.

Only the Blessed Mother was able to adore anytime and anywhere … the rest of us have to work at it to be successful.

Adoration ‘in spirit’ allows you to pause whatever it is you are doing, and simply bring to mind the presence of God in your heart.  It is a beautiful and rewarding practice which truly is a gift of the Holy Spirit.  If you cannot do this … you need to practice and to pray.

If you are not a regular Adorer in our Chapel, here is a good place to start:  Available Schedule
